iLearnStack : Who,How,Why ?

First of all, a BIG sorry for being inactive for sometime now. We are excited to announce that the iLearnStack team is back and you can expect more updates coming soon on updated Installation methods, whats new in Openstack and much more. Watch out for this space – [8th June, 2015]

What we are ?

iLearnStack is a platform for anyone : a student, a developer, anyone new to the Cloud Domain, new to the concepts of  Openstack  , to quickly ramp-up and develop a basic understanding about the same. We are currently backed-up and supported by Openstack India User Group.

What is this Portal all About ?

This portal would provide you with a platform to gradually understand Openstack. Intending to serve audience of all levels ranging from college attending folks to experts in the industry bootstrapping on Openstack we would be starting from the Zero’th level. The Blog would cover associated topics like Basics of Virtualisation, Cloud, Networking (Basics), etc which are very much needed to understand Openstack and associated eco-system. Choose what you want to read and what helps you best. We would also slowly streamline a sequence that would make learning sequential on the website [work in progress].

Goals ?

Aligning to the aim, we have tried to make the content very simple, intuitive and easy to grasp. We have tried to start from the Zero-th level of understanding of each topic. However, if you feel that some concept is alien to you, even after reading the post, feel free to contact us by sending mails at learnstack[at]googlegroups[dot]com.[the mailer is used by authors to communicate and receive topics, kindly don’t send membership request unless you want to write for the website] Also, feel free to comment on the same page if you have some doubts related to content in that page, We shall try our best to get back to you at the soonest possible.We aim to put all that stuff together which is required to understand Openstack from a Undergrad College Students’ Perspective.

Who writes on iLearnStack?

iLearnStack is written by Folks who have been working with OpenStack for a few years now. This initiative is on a voluntary basis where authors contribute to the learnings. For most of us, we became a part of this project right after completing college and we understand the hardships of bootstrapping to a conglomeration of associated technologies in a offering like Openstack, where virtually every basic Computer Science areas is dealt in great amount of details.

Why iLearnStack Happened ?

Basically, as iLearnStack, we are a Bunch of Enthusiasts who are willing to payback some of our debts we have collected from the community over nearly past two years, learning about Openstack and Cloud and related Stuff. As iLearnStack we would like to give our two Cents,back to the community, by hoping to help a few interested people to learn Openstack.

What We Are Not ?

• We are NOT a Profit Making Organization/Group.
• People with Zenith-level of understanding of Openstack.
• Super-humans who don’t err ever.
